According to company officials, the return to Canton and other parts of the country is the result of a better-than-expected recovery in sales and company expansion.

Sur La Table, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, has 59 retail locations across more than 20 states.
The only Connecticut location of the store is currently slated to be in Canton.
Sur La Table's expansion into brick-and-mortar stores comes at a time when many retailers are moving more customers to online shopping.
Jordan Voloshin, Sur La Table's chief executive officer, stated, "We are thrilled to continue growing our retail business and to give our customers local storefronts to spark their innovation in the kitchen."
“We've targeted specific markets by strategically expanding our retail footprint, providing new and familiar communities with a retail destination that offers the brand's 50 years of cooking expertise.

"We are excited about returning to areas where Sur La Table has operated in the past, as well as entering new markets and gaining new customers across the country," the company says.

Getting Garden Ready - It’s almost time

While winter hasn’t been the most winteriest (and yes, we just made that word up) of winters, it’s still been a winter none the less. Trees were bare, frost heaved the ground, some snow fell, the bears slept a bit, the birds were thankful for their seed, and…. Here we are. The sun is up past 6PM and the time is almost here.
Garden and Lawn Time!!!! And we just wanted to share some quick spring tips to get us all ready and even more excited!
1. Put your winter coat away and dig out your gardening gloves - Spring is (almost) here!
2. Mark your calendar for fertilizing deadlines - You don't want to miss them!
3. Get a head start on weeds by removing pesky invaders while they're still small - Don't let those little buggers take over!
4. Time to wake up the lawn mower from its long winter slumber - Make sure it's well-oiled and ready for action! Let’s be honest, we haven’t changed our lawnmower oil in 2 years. Ugh… Time to get on that!
5. Give your garden a good once-over with some pruning shears to get rid of dead wood and encourage new growth - Keep that garden looking trim and tidy! Remember, some plants need their dead wood though.

6. Take inventory of what you have left from last year and plan for what you need this season - A shopping list is essential so you don’t do what we do and buy EVERYTHING!
7. Get your soil tested to check the pH levels, nutrient content, and more - Healthy soil = happy plants!
8. Give your lawn some tender loving care with a good raking session - It's like giving it a massage!
9. Time to get planting! Make sure your seeds and starts are ready to go in the ground when spring arrives in full force - Don't forget to water them too!
10. Last but not least, set aside some time for yourself and just relax in the garden - Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Happy gardening everyone! :)
