🎉 Simsbury Celebrates 2024: A Community Tradition! 🎉
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, November 30th, 2024, Simsbury will once again come alive with holiday cheer as we gather for Simsbury Celebrates. This beloved tradition, steeped in history and sustained by the generosity of our community, promises an evening of festive fun, incredible entertainment, and magical moments for all ages. Best of all? It’s free, thanks to the support of local businesses, families, and civic groups.
A Celebration Rooted in Tradition
Simsbury Celebrates continues the legacy of the original "Opening Night," an arts-focused holiday event launched by the Simsbury Arts Council. From 1986 to 2001, Opening Night brought world-class performers to town—including comedian Ray Romano of Everybody Loves Raymond fame! While the original event ended in 2001, the community's love for this annual gathering led to its revival in 2002 under the name Simsbury Celebrates, organized by the Simsbury Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department and dedicated volunteers.
Today’s event has evolved with family-friendly features, early evening fireworks, and an array of street entertainment, making it a highlight of Simsbury’s holiday season.
