The Farmington Valley - Rainy Day Lunch Break

So many options but one hit the spot

A Rainy Day Lunch Favorite

It was a warm (for February) rainy day in the Farmington Valley yesterday. My mother was taking a watercolor class at Jerry’s Artorama in the Elmwood section of West Hartford and since she was up from the shoreline, we decided lunch should happen after class.

And if you’re anything like me, on what was a gloomy Wednesday, some soul satisfying food sounds pretty good.

So where does that take us, that takes us to some mouthwatering pizza. And if you like pizza, we've got just the spot for you – Savoy in West Hartford Center! (Located on Lasalle Road)

Despite the raindrops falling outside, our spirits were lifted as soon as we stepped inside. The cozy atmosphere and the aroma of freshly baked pizza instantly warms you up.

And let's talk about their pizza – it's simply unbeatable! There are some other great places in the area, Savoy just has a way though. Especially when it comes to lunch and their personal 8” pizza. You don’t have to share, there’s never any left to take home, but you’re never left hungry either.

While there are plenty of creative combinations like prosciutto and fig, my go to is always a lightly baked margherita. I know, I know. A lot of pizza lovers enjoy a crispy crust, that’s just not me.

Even the Margherita bursts with flavor, the fresh basil, the sauce, all thanks to the quality ingredients and expert craftsmanship that Savoy is known for. (of course being part of the MAX group, how could this place not be awesome!)

But wait, it gets even better! (and this is why it’s a go to lunch spot) Savoy offers an irresistible lunch deal that you won't want to miss. Picture this: a piping hot pizza paired with a crisp salad – all for a price that won't break the bank and all yours! It’s the Lunch Prixe Fixe!

So why let a little rain dampen your day when you can brighten it up with a trip to Savoy? Gather your friends, grab your umbrellas, and head over to West Hartford Center for a lunch experience that will leave you smiling, rain or shine!

Savoy Isn’t The Only Great Pizza In The Valley Though!

Some of our other favorites, let’s share those too. Feel free to comment about your favorite pizza in the area!

Hoping to launch the boat this spring! Water sports enthusiasts get ready!
