Canton PD Lost One Of It's Finest
Getting ready for next weeks take off
The Farmington Valley Is You
We may all live in individual towns, on our own streets, in our own homes. While we live in all of that individuality, we are also one.
One region, one cluster of towns, one community.
It’s actually funny, back around 2000 I remember purchasing our first home in Collinsville. A neighbor had said “don’t move here, once you do you never leave, you never go “over the mountain”…
Low and behold, wouldn’t you know she was correct.
As many of us know, you just don’t do it unless you have to, you don’t go “over the mountain”. (let alone cross the river into the eastern part of the state. haha)
What am I getting at?
Well, the future of our online community. There will be more stories about local happenings and businesses. More sharing about things to do, and for subscribers here, discounts to local business that will ONLY be for us. This community known as “The Farmington Valley”…
We honestly want to highlight the places and people YOU want to see. We are even ready to share stories you may have or events you want us to know about. So share away with anything you want. [email protected] is the best way.

Canton PD Lost A Great Officer - The Most Important Part Of Today’s Newsletter
Okay, they didn’t lose him, they actually know exactly where he is, and that’s at home enjoying retirement.
Living in Canton for almost 15 years and being a business owner, you come to know almost everyone. That includes town employees. Especially the officers. And last week, one of Canton’s finest called in his final signing off.
Martin Miller - you were truly one of Canton’s best. Your kindness was always at the forefront and you will be missed.
Serving Hartford and transferring to Canton in 2013, a 30 year run is incredible. 30 years of helping others, protecting others, lifting others up. You don’t do that without truly effecting the lives of so many, and for that, we all thank you!
