Protect Your Pup: A Simple Solution to a Scary Problem

Lately we’ve all seen the heartbreaking posts in local groups about dogs getting lost in the woods. It doesn’t matter how it happens—it happens, and we’re not here to shame anyone.

But can you imagine how scared and confused your pup must feel, especially this time of year? The cold weather, the long nights, and the increasing presence of hungry coyotes looking for scarce food make it even more concerning.

Here’s a tip we use for one of our pups, and it could make all the difference for you too:

An Apple AirTag.

For under $50, you can buy an Apple AirTag and a durable, rubber tag holder that slides right onto your dog’s collar. Should your pup ever get loose, you can track their location in real-time. Sure, they might still think it’s a fun game of “keep away,” but at least you’ll know where they are—and that’s half the battle when it comes to bringing them home safely.

Peace of mind, for such a small price.

Not every pup needs this, of course. We have two dogs ourselves—one has an AirTag because she can run and will run. The other? Well, let’s just say he’s not in a hurry to go anywhere!

So, as we head into these colder months, consider this simple tool. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s an added layer of security that could save you from panic—and your pup from danger.

Stay safe out there, and give your furry friends some extra snuggles tonight!
