But It’s So Good!

Chokaico!

Here’s the thing. I don’t like it.

Chocolate that is. I just don’t love it.

Well, I don’t like real chocolate. I do enjoy milk chocolate but that, that’s not “real”chocolate.

I don’t enjoy chocolate ice cream. I don’t enjoy chocolate chips even. I know, I know… How am I even human.

That’s a question that’s neither here nor there.

“Why?” You ask?

Because what we are about to share is so much more. More than chocolate, more than hot cocoa, more than the candy that’s resting in its showcase.

And this, THIS WE LOVE!

It’s a sweet escape in Avon, CT. It’s tucked away but if you know where the Lime Bar is, Chokaico is right behind it. (And for those of you wondering, it’s pronounced - Cho-Ky-Co )

So you pull up, jump out of your car, and realize that walking into Chokaico Chocolates is an experience that ignites all your senses.

The moment you step through the door, you’re enveloped by the rich, sweet aroma of dark chocolate—a scent so enticing it feels like an embrace. Then, chances are, you’ll be greeted by Fernando, the heart and soul behind Chokaico.

Fernando, the incredible owner of this chocolate haven, is more than just a chocolatier. He is a kind and passionate artisan whose love for crafting the most delectable chocolates shines through in every creation. His warm demeanor and enthusiasm for his craft make a visit to Chokaico more than a shopping trip; it’s a personal connection to his story and dedication. Plus, I’m unsure about you, but there are VERY VERY few places I know of in CT. That create their chocolate from the cacao bean right in their own shop. As a matter of fact, Chokaico is the only one I know of.

And Fernando’s journey to owning Chokaico is as rich as his chocolate. With a background in perfecting his recipes for himself, his friends, and occasional pop-up events, Fernando cultivated a loyal following of chocolate enthusiasts. Each bite of his hand-crafted confections spoke volumes about his skill and devotion. Then, the perfect opportunity presented itself—a place where his chocolate dreams could take root and flourish. That place was Avon.

Nestled in the heart of this charming Connecticut town, Chokaico Chocolates is now a destination for anyone seeking a taste of pure indulgence.

From velvety hot chocolate with wonderful topping choices, to imaginative flavor pairings of fruits, ginger, and more dipped in Chokaico’s real chocolate. Every piece of chocolate is a testament to Fernando’s expertise and his desire to bring joy to those who taste his creations.

Whether you’re looking for a gift, a sweet treat for yourself, or simply an experience that will brighten your day, Chokaico Chocolates delivers every wish.

Fernando’s dream has become a reality, and lucky for Avon, it’s a reality worth savoring.

Stop by Chokaico Chocolates and let the rich aroma, Fernando’s friendly smile, and, of course, the irresistible chocolate transport you to a world of sweetness. You won’t leave empty-handed—or without a smile. And don’t worry, if Fernando isn’t there, you’re still in great hands because his staff is A++++++++

Looking for another reason to head there, with the rails to trails directly behind the shop, you can grab that hot chocolate and take a stroll in the beauty that we have all around us.
